Solid... 500 miles and not even a peep
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this rack to transport my daughters bikes from where I am in Boston back to Toronto where they are now living. With 6 straps it was the most secure rack I could find online without getting a trailer hitch.

The rack mounted in about 10 minutes after a bit of adjustment to the straps (and figuring out that the bottom 2 went to the bottom not the sides). On the day of the trip it took again about 10 minutes to re-mount the rack. The bikes slid on with little difficulty and we were on our way.

About 70 miles into the trip we stopped for coffee and I checked the straps. That first portion I never felt any shift, or heard any bounce. The two bottom straps came away from the liftgate on the van. Even with just the 4 this rack was exceptionally solid! Re-secured the straps and we were again on our way.

I would recommend this for anyone who either wants to take bikes (3 for this model) on short or long trips. Mind you I haven't taken the rack offroading... yet

Easy to mount and sturdy
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I'm very pleased with my purchase. It comes fully assembled in the box so no hassle trying to figure out instructions to put it together. It opens and folds flat for easy storage. I keep mine in the trunk and it doesn't take up much space. It takes about 10 minutes to put it on the car with bikes attached (that is after I figured it out the first time). The bikes remained secured in place the whole trip. The only drawback to this product is that it is not meant for childrens bikes. Bikes with shorter crossbars (or thicker crossbars) to do not fit in the clamps. I had to put the smallest bike in the trunk, attach the rack, put on the adult bike first, and then the junior bike fit only on one side and I tied it with the straps on the other side. This is the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars. Overall an excellent product.

Not great but works.
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
It's an OK bike rack. It works fine on a 97 Altima and just barely on a 2007 CRV. Bikes won't fall off but they do swing a bit and can scratch the car with pedals or scratch themselves if there are multiple bikes on the rack. For the price it is fine for my needs - 5 mile ride to the trails once a week. In terms of convenience, this does not come close to a roof rack and some other trunk racks are probably better.

I love it!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is a great bike rack for a great price. It serves it purpose but I can only fit 2 bikes on it. It is easy to install and uninstall. I was looking for a rack that wouldn't leave a mark on my car because I have a lease, and I read the reviews and thought this one seemed the best, and I was right. I research every product I buy and I am glad I found this one. I am very satisfied and highly recommend this one!

Good fit
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I have an 04 Malibu with a spoiler and it fits fine. You need something to tie down the excessive slack but no problem on short trips. Also on the spoiler you need to put down a rag so the metal on metal don't scratch the paint. All in all for the price i am very pleased.

Been meaning to post a review!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I've been meaning to post a review of this bike rack. I purchased this rack about a year and two months ago. With that amount of time of usage, here is my quick review.

-The build of the rack itself-
The rack is solid and does not feel flimsy at all. The knobs to tighten and loosen the pivot of the rack is also a solid piece.

-The mounting of the rack-
I own a Lexus IS250. This rack works perfectly with this model car. Also, any other car with similar shape should work out. I usually wipe down the areas where my rack makes contact with the car. I don't want the dust to scrape via friction from contact with the foam cushions on the rack to my car.
Mounting only takes a minute or two, literally. Once you try this out, and do it a couple times, its unbelievably easy!
I have used this rack with usually one road bike. I have mounted two road bikes on occasion and last weekend tried two road bikes and a mountain bike. Having three bikes turned out to be just as safe and steady on the rack as having one! Incredibly sturdy and reliable.

-Gripes, complaints-
Not much really.
The knobs when tightened very snug does also tighten the silver pieces that "pivot" the straps - so if you tighten the knob, make sure the strap is pointing in the right direction where the strap will be going in. This alone should not deter any potential users as I have never found this a problem or irritating enough. It's just one of those things you go...oh I have to loosen the dial to re-adjust the strap...no biggie- takes 5 seconds.
Also, my road bike is a size 48, the rack is a bit too wide for the main length of the frame, but for a bike this size, there is a spot infront of the rear bike tire that you can mount that fixes this issue.

-Final words-
After a year, I am still looking back to make sure my $900 bike is still mounted up, even though its a solid bike, I wanted to make sure my bike was there...haha!
I have never taken off my bike after a long mount to notice it getting any looser or unstable. The mount is always SOLID. For this price, the rack can't be beat!

Nice affordable rack
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This rack gets the job done. I mostly use it for local trips (under 10 miles) so I can't speak to its performance over long distances, but for what I do it's perfect.

Getting it set up each time can be a bit tedious, and the center rack-to-bike strap usually comes loose, but other than that no real complaints. It scratched up my trunk paint the first time I used it because I didn't offset it from the car enough, definitely be careful about that.

Considering the price of most bike racks out there, this is a VERY good buy for your money at less than half the price of others.

great rack
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This rack works well.

I haven't tried to put 3 bikes on it, but I doubt it will hold them all.

It holds 2 bikes well.

I've had this for months now, and I saw another car with a roof mounted bike system. From what I saw, it seems to be the absolute best way to carry bikes. I saw a medium sized sedan carry 4 fully assemble bikes on the roof. I fell in love with that system and looked it up online, only to see that that type of system would cost over 250 dollars!!!

I don't regret buying this rack, but if you have the $$$ buy a roof rack!

Last Note: I've scratched my car up with the bikes with this rack. Load the bikes carefully!!!!

Great Bike Rack!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Quick and easy set up. Once in place, the rack is very stable and the bikes remain securely mounted. We managed to squeeze 4 bikes on for a weekend trip. Did not have any problems.

Some tips:
Arrange the arms to be as far out as possible so that the bike pedals don't scratch the pain on the trunk.
Remember to tie up the loose ends of the straps after you've installed the rack; we forgot to do so on the way back and shredded the ends of the straps by dragging them on the road for 200 miles!
Use the extra strap lengths to tie down the front wheels/handlbars so they stay in one place.

that works for me
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I HAVE A TOYOTA COROLLA SEDAN AND A HONDA CRV. THIS RACK IS REALLY GOOD ON MY SEDAN BECAUSE THE PEDAL GOES ABOVE THE TRUNK AND DOESN'T HIT THE CAR, BUT ONCE I TRIED IT ON MY CRV AND I HAD TO COVER THE PEDAL BECAUSE IT WAS SO CLOSE TO THE BACK DOOR THAT WOULD SCRATCH THE DOOR. TOTALLY ITS A GOOD RACK AND I COULD PUT 3 BIKES ON IT, (1)26" & (1)24" MOUNTAIN BIKES AND (1) 18" KIDS BIKE.
DON'T FORGET TO RE-TIGHT ALL THE ROPES AFTER LOADING THE BIKES ON THE RACK.
I HAVE NOT TRIED IT IN LONG DISTANCES AND I HAVE NO IDEA IF IT CAN TAKE THAT LONG WITHOUT BEING LOOSEN.
